Today, I booted up my computer to find the windows login prompt. I clicked on the icon and proceeded to type in my password when i noticed that the keyboard was not working. I rebooted the computer and noticed that the num lock light could be toggled on and off but any other key still wouldn't work. Thinking that my keyboard had been broken, i swapped it with one that i know works. I got the same result only the num lock wouldn't even respond. I thought maybe i had corrupted the windows xp keyboard drivers but i tried to get into my bios with no luck as well.

So, what's wrong? Did i fry my ps/2 port?
Thanks in advance for the help.

hook your keyboard into your USB port, disable your parrallel port or whatever it's hooked into. If you cant get into the BIOS to disable it, there's sometimes a jumper cable on the motherboard that you can set. its usually set 1-2, set it to 2-3. Proceed with your USB keyboard hook up and it should work. If it does, than your port for the keyboard is seriously fudged up. Otherwise, i dont know.
