Comment:
I just bought a used dell multimedia usb keyboard and for some reason, although everything works fine on it, the Calculator app pops up by itself many times and don't stop. Also in the writing field the L or A key(up to now) will keep on writing itself.

The keyboard looks like brand new and was bought in a store used.

Finally, the mouse wheel started browsing back and forth in firefox instead of up and down in a page. Adding to that when i left-click on an icon in a folder with many of em, it acts as if i was holding down the shift key and selects a whole bunch of them.

Ever happened to anybody? I thought of the usb keyboard driver, but can't find another one. This one installed itself when i boot up the computer. Then also my usb ports are 1.1, i think(i get a message with my portable dvd burner saying : this device could perform faster....).

Thanks!

Look for a model on the underside of the KBoard and mouse. There may be dedicated drivers for them. The USB message is saying you could burn faster IF you were connected to a USB 2.0 port. You could try a different port. Many computers have a combination of both kinds. To see if any of your USB controllers are 2.0 go to Device manager in control panel and expand the listing for USB controllers at the bottom. If there is a listing for Enhanced controller you have at least 2 USB 2.0 ports.
Look in program files and see if there is a listing for either the KBoard or mouse. There also should be some basic settings at the very least in Control panel for both the mouse and the KB.

Thanks for the suggestions... i finally figured out that there's a calculator shortcut on the keyboard and it was probably stuck. It's fine now :)

Thanks
