keyboar problem

left arrow + up arrow simultaneously not
functioning. but individual keys are functioning
well. there is beep sound coming when i used
both.

it almost sounds like there's already a key being held down, like Shift or CTRL. i know if you hold down too many keys at once, the system will start to beep. 2 keys might not be too many, but 3 or more might be.

if you open a word processor and type, do letter keys produce normal lowercase letters? do numbers produce numbers?
