I have an AMD Athlon 2000+ that I use as my second PC to network to but the thing is it use to be a AMD Athlon 1200+ before I had it upgraded. My problem is 90% of the time when it boots up it's telling me it's still a AMD Athlon 1200+ and so I have to keep going back into the BIOS to reset it back to AMD Athlon 2000+. Is there some way of fixing this.

i assume it keeps reverting from 133mhz fsb to the default lowest setting of 100mhz fsb. This could be because the silver coin bettery on the motherboard needs replacing or is not securely in the battery holder.

Yes that's what it's doing,133mhz back down to 100mhz. I think that battery could be a bit loose. When I go home I'll open her up and have a peak and see if I can see that. Is there a way of making it sit tighter.

You could try bending the contacts slightly but careful or you will break a contact and be SOL. Remember that you must save when exiting. Next time look at the date. If the date is correct then it probably isn't the battery but improper exit procedure.
If the date is wrong then it is the battery. There are many things that need to be reset beside the FSB.
