I'm reposting this cos all the answers I got didn't help.

hi here's my problem I keep losing my internet connection, this happens at complete random. When I use Windows 98 or Windows ME this doesn't happen, only when I use Windows XP is when it happens.
I rang my ISP but they could not help me.
I've gone through all my internet settings and everything and it still keeps on happening.

Also in the Extra Settings in the Phone and Modem Options I tried putting in ATS10=50 and I also tried ats91=15s92=15 but it still does the same thing.

I also have the latest modem drivers and also I had my phone line tested and it still keeps on happening.

My modem is a Swann ST56 USB Modem.

Hope I provided enough information.
Thanks for any help.

Is it possible your ISP provider has the server set to disconnect if there is no activity from your side? Have you tried a program called Keep It Alive which works well to keep your connection with such an ISP going. Can be found at;
