hey guys, i need a bit of help or guidance. my acer laptop ( i know but i only use it to browse the web an poker) was running slow, i tried defrag, disc clean up virus scans etc but was still slow so i re-formatted it and is still (if not worse) slow. i havent got any extra programs on it that i dont need ie films an stuff an everything i need i have on an external hard drive. any ideas on how to speed it up? thanks

i was working on a pc the other day that was very slow and i could not find what was wrong. then for some reason i thought i would try swapping the 2 ram sticks around in the two slots (both were 256mb each). for some reason that fixed it.

Summary: Go into the bios and make sure that the boot sequence is pointing at the hardrive and not the a drive or something like that. I had the same problem with my laptop and it still does it occassionally. ...
Summary: Well I just got my laptop, and it seems as if the screen going black/blank is a common problem among Toshiba laptops. I actually did not buy a warranty on it, therefore I have to stick to fixing stuff...
