Hey everyone on my new computer I am building I would like to test out some fans and my cold cathode lights but my motherboard hasnt arrived so I need to jump start the power supply... my case has a koolance liquid cooling system built in and in the manual it explains how to jump start a power supply by inserting this little green wire supplied into the 4th and 6th hole of the ATX cables and powering on the power supply... now I will only have 2 fans and 2 cold cathode lights attached when I do this but my main concern is damaging the power supply...has anyone had any experience with jump starting a power supply and is it fairly safe for the power supply? Thanks alot

As long as you jumper the correct pins, you will not damage anything. The PSU will only output as much power as it needs to supply the load. Cheers and Happy New Year.
