Itunes won't sync my Ipod,itunes is messed up

I've been having problems for months with my itunes! I just got a new ipod, and itunes wont sync it. Everytime I tried to click on itunes, "please wait while itunes configures" comes up, so I would just select a song and click open with then itunes, and it worked.
I couldn't burn cd's, but it worked.
I've tried everything, uninstalling, reinstalling, and about 3/4 of the way through, it always crashes due to "error 2330"
I've talked to apple and microsoft to no avail. PLEASE HELP!
