An ISO is just an image of a CD. Whether or not the the program needs the CD in the drive or if it will install to the hard drive is totally dependant on the program contained in the image, not the ISO image itself.

What is the ISO image of?

It depends. With most games you will need the CD unless you have a no cd crack. Other programs like Office, will install the program and that's it, unless the program needs to install extra tools from time to time and then it might ask for the CD.

So I guess the answer, in short, is no, except for games.

It is an Corel Draw 11 ISO image. I know that for a fact because I have ISO Buster.

I have another question. I downloaded Windows XP 2600 Build and it's not an ISO, it has a setup icon. Can I just burn that to a CD-R and when I put it in the CD-ROM will it install Windows XP?

I don't think you are going to get a lot of answers here on questions regarding pirated software.

Sorry

if it's an XP ISO image, just burn the image to CD-R and then use it like an original CD

Also if you use NERO or Easy CD Creator 5/6
make sure you select the option " burn ISO image " other wise you will burn the file and it won't be of any use

What if the Windows XP isn't the ISO image, what if it just is all the files? It has all the files and a setup icon.
