I thought we went thru this with you when you said something about running 4GB? 512MB is plenty for most people... 1GB is preferred by gamers... Beyond that, you'll see no significant difference unless you do CAD work, video editting, or run some other type of memory intensive apps Asus A7N8X-X

Reply: (edit)Yes RAM is very cheap at the moment which is why there are great deals around.
RAM prices change almost daily, apparently its to do with the price or oil, as well as, ofcourse, the availability of RAM chips.
But anyway, who cares why its cheap, the fact is that it is. Now is the time to buy that Crucial, Corsair or whatever make you fancy high end ram you've always had your eye on!
Oh and I agree, 1GB ram is plenty. Your system will actually be slower in most cases with any more due to the increased latency. Wizard ICT. Microsoft Certified Professional

I sold my 2gb of ram out of 4gb of ram. I just made this post in order to tell everyone that prices for ram are going down tremendously!

Reply: (edit)In March I mixed Corsair and Kingston RAM in a computer and it still works just fine. Sometimes mixing diferent brands won't though.
