most bioses recognize it as sdram because it is sdram double data sdram.

I dont know what make my RAM is, and how does Sisoft Sandra 2003 and PC Wizard 2003 know that its Samsung, there isnt a label on the RAM itself that says Samsung or anything!

A manufacturer ID is hard wired into the director chip on each stick of RAM. It's just a matter of knowing how to get the chip to tell you what it is programmatically.
