Hard Drive: WD 40GB 7200RPM, ATA100

CD/DVD Rom: 52X cd rom internal, IDE
CDR-W: 48x/12x/48 Internal IDE w/ Burn Software

The PC chips Mobo is not my first choice. I think I would choose an Intel board.

The rest all seems ok but are you sure the sound is 600 Watt and not 60 watt?

Sounds like a great deal to me. The RAM is a little slow for the processor, its gonna bottleneck.

I like to compare package deals by using micropro.com's configurator. They are a reputable company that sells a lot of systems and and their configurator is extensive enough to duplicate any deal. I just duplicated your deal and their price for your config is $536.

The only problem you have (with pcusa or micropro) is that when you do not buy the os from them they cannot burn in the system, so you may find after much effort that the motherboard sucks. At this price level you have discounted components everywhere, which is fine for everything but the motherboard.

Pcusa is selling a pcchips mobo and micropro's is an ecs. I lean toward ecs in that case as the lesser of two evils.
