Reply: (edit)Well, it's a close run thing between that card and the Radeon 9100 Pro for top PCI slot. The Radeon will probably just edge the GeForce out on power, but the GeForce is DirectX 9.0 compliant, which means lots of pretty effects in newer games. Also, the 9100 was discontinued a while back, so it will take a bit of finding, ebay perhaps? I don't suffer from insanity, I embrace it.

Reply: (edit)I must just add this, at the end of the day, any PCI card is not going to perform as well as you want it to. You could pick up an AGP motherboard for £20 / $30. I don't suffer from insanity, I embrace it.

Reply: (edit)There is no good pci card these days. AGP 8x has been added as the 4x agp doesn't offer enough speed. AGP is faster than pci. I would agree with the above. Time for a new motherboard, if you are tight on cash, an integarated one will tide you over until you have the cash for a better graphics cared. But to sink money into a pci card would be a waste IMO.

Reply: (edit)I disagree, AGP 4x's bandwidth has yet to be fully utilized, so 8x was pretty pointless, and PCX is a joke........... I don't suffer from insanity, I embrace it.
