Hello, im am planing to build my very first computer. I was wondering where you can rate it by its parts if it will be good or not. 1. Processor: Amd Athlon XP 2500+ 333fbs barton 2. Motherboard: Asus A7V8X-X 3.Ram: kingston pc2300 256mb ddr400 4.Cd-rom drive: Samsung 52x 5. Harddrive: Western digital 40 gb 7200 rpm 5. Grafics Card: Radeon 9000 pro 128 2x/4x agp 6. Floppy drive: Samsung 1.44 mb 3.5 floppy drive. Note i will include a case with 400 watt power supply. I thank you in advanced.

you should upgrade the harddrive to more space such as 80Gb, harddrive have become cheaper, so let you computer have the capacity to perform! if you can a cd-rw drive would be also a good addition, + your choise.. MORE RAM = BETTER PERFORMANCE!!

You might want to get a dvd rom and a cdrw (or a dvd/cdrw combo drive if you can't afford both. There will be increasingly more dvd software titles in the near future.
I assume you mean pc3200 memory. Keep in mind that your board can only use 2 modules of 3200. If you want to upgrade in the future, you may need to discard your original memory. You might want to consider pc2700. That board supports four modules of 2700.
