Comment: I am currently searchingfor a new graphics card. I have a 250 watt power supply and 2.0 agp slot. I currently have the radeon 7500 64 ddr. I would like to know weather the Geforce FX 5200 is worth buying and how much of a differentce will i see compared to my old radeon 7500 64 ddr. If you have any other recomnindations on graphics cards im looking for one that is under $150 and supports my system requirements. I thank you in advanced.

Reply: (edit)I use a radeon 9000 ddr 128 mb that I got from newegg.com for 78 dollars I recommend it or maybe a radeon 9600 or something around there, but as far as I know nvidia makes a good card also so if you like you should get the FX 5200

Reply: (edit)A Geforce 4 Ti4200 64MB sell for like $100 and a Radeon 9600 PRO sell for $150 or so. I would rather get one of these than the Geforce FX 5200 Ultra. It's nothing but a slightly faster Radeon 9000.

Reply: (edit)well with agp x2 you will see a small bottle neck no matter what card you have, however if you insist on upgrading a vid card instead of mobo i suggest to go for the ti4200, like stated about it is a great price and a wonderful card, you will see a considerable difference in performance, but i really suggest upgrading your mobo to something that can handle more, because in the long run you will have to upgrade it or the whole comp anyway, if you buy a vid card now then when you do upgrade u will have to buy another one, anyway, hope this helps
