I have a problem where my computer stops working. The hard drive starts clicking and stops spinning. When i have put it into other computers it works fine. When the hard drive stops working after it has finished clicking I checked to see if the power to anything has gone and the power is still working in everything (i.e the fans and the cd drives) The motherboard has gone back to the manufacturer just to check if it is that and that still works. My voltage readings are: -
Vcore 1.776v
+3.3v 3.376v
+5v 4.139v
+12v 10.304v

The 5V and 12V are very low. Either some defective unit is dragging them down, or more likely the power supply is not large enough or defective.

daniel is right. It looks like the power supply can't put out enough to handle the load. How many watts is it? I would look for a replacement of 350 to 400 watts, just from what you report. Hope this helps.

"The hard drive starts clicking"

that can happen with a bad ide cable, a bad power connection, or a bad power supply.

I'd move to a low power setup (unplug cd-drive, take off the case cover and unplug case fans you don't need, try an older vid card if you have one, set cpu fsb to 100mhz) and see if the hard drive start working fine. If so, the hard drive is bad. At a minimum try switching ide cables and power leads for the hard drive.
