I am using a laptop with windows 7, I have 1GB RAM and i was wondering if increasing the RAM will have any benefits on imporving my gaming quality and also will a Graphics card help? And if so which one will be better. I have Intel Mobile 965 express chipset family
Increasing RAM in any version of Windows is always beneficial; 1GB for Win7 is the minimum that it'll work with. Go for at least 2GB or more for 32-bit and 4GB or more for 64-bit . But make sure you use the correct type for your system. For any gaming machine, a potent gaming card is as important (usually more important) than RAM; onboard graphics generally won't cut it for most "modern" games... "Channeling the spirit of jboy..."
Increasing the RAM will definitely increase the system performance, but it will do little to help with gaming. You have an older laptop with weak integrated graphics. There's nothing you can do to improve graphics performance except to buy a better laptop. Prices for decent gaming laptops generally start at about $1000 & go up from there.
