Is An HP JFP1 Adaptor Available?

Hi, Have HP Pavilion 761n ATX case (2002 era). HP JFP1 case connector block does not fit new V4MDM/V4MDMP/V2VMDMP Socket-A Athlon/Duron type MB.
The HP JPF1 block supports nine (9) 2-pin connectors, whereas the new MB supports only five (5) 2-pin connectors.
Is there an adaptor? What possible solutions exist? Why is the JFP1 connection not standard? Thanks!

No there is no adaptor.
HP like other propietry brands make their products different from the industry standard. This means if you want to upgrade, you need to buy parts from them (at prices they choose).
You could remove the plug and install your own plugs that suit the motherboard. I don't realy recommend this as the price of a non-propietry case isn't that high that it makes it worth the effort and risk.
Get a new case and move away from HP.

Hi,
Thanks! You're correct. I bought a new case and all is working fine now, hardware wise. However, I'm trying to reinstall the HP Recovery CDs that came with the system on the same harddrive that's been wiped for clean install. No luck, but will post this problem as separate thread. Thanks again!
Summary: Sorry the F11 didn't work. HP hides stuff like that in the BIOS because it will save them tons of phone calls when an average joe goes in there and changes vital functions. In most of the HP BIOS's I ...
