Hello everyone, Im looking to buying a sound card for my new build, but my motherboard comes with soundblaster cinema, which apparently gives you some good sound. Should I buy a new card? will it cause conflicts with the mobo?

Check the motherboard manual but you can probably disable the on-board audio if you add a card.

Whichever you use, make sure you have good speakers. That's where good sound comes from.

As you pointed out, your board has "Sound Blaster Cinema". Basically it's a Realtek audio chip coupled with SoundBlaster software. It's probably more than adequate for most users, but if you're a hardcore audiophile, you might wanna consider a discrete soundcard.

I havent put my build together yet, still trying to raise some money. But I guess i can wait until i construct it. If the sound is not what I expect then ill just get a soundcard,.

Happy thanksgiving btw

My thoughts exactly, if the money is tight, the sound will be good for now and can always be upgraded later if you feel you need it later. It is more important now, to spend what you need on components that are critical and those that will be difficult or more expensive to install or change out later.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
