Specs: Windows XP, 550Mb/384Mb
Hey all I have been trying to put win xp on a old compaq system so a friend can have a pc back and go online i know it will take it because it took it about a year ago i turn it on and start win setup 1/2 way it gives me this mesage

Then it locks up and i must restart
if there is anyone that can help

This BSOD message is usually due to faulty or improperly installed hardware. You should run MemTest or another memory testing program to test your RAM. The windows site has one as well. I actually had this problem recently with my PC and it was bad RAM.
