how can I obtain the IP-Adress of my local machine, if I want to run a security check for my system, using xp-home as plattform.
Please advice

on the local machine open up command prompt

start,run type; cmd

type; ipconfig/all

what sort of security check were you looking to run?

the answer is:

"didn´t find the machine", which is weird,
cause I just got one machine, no network attached.

Patrick, No network = No network security problems = No network address, unless you create one for yourself. But what would you do with it, without the network, and the networkmates to give it to? ;)
