hi: I have bought a ldhd250-u external hds. The hard drive was still good last month, and suddenly the hd cannot be detected anymore.
I check the device property in control panel. It show a yellow ! in the usb mass storage device. The drive was still in warranty, and was bought about a month ago.
I try to plug the drive in 5 different computers, and they show the same thing. The drive has never dropped and damaged. It places at the same area since i have bought it.

That's what warranties are for..
Only other suggestion I would have, as long as it won't void the warranty would be to remove the drive from it's enclosure and connect it direct to an IDE connection inside your case.
I used to have a signature but it disappeared and I just couldn't be bothered writing another so please feel free to ingore this.
