Invalid System Disk

I'm getting error Message "Invalid System Disk" After Windows 98 Setup Reboots my Gateway Solo 5300 notebook.
I am able to boot my laptop at command prompt after formating hard drive or retransfering system (sys c:).
I tried my another notebook's (HP pavilion ze5300) hard drive into my gateway machine but it gave my missing NTLDR error.
I tried Gateway hard drive on my HP laptop, it worked fine...

Hi, Moving a HD from one machine to another is not a good idea unless the machines are identical or you know what you are doing. MB drivers are different. 98 could usually make it if you had the correct MS 98 CD. XP has a recovery feature that may help.

Yeah, I have removed all bootable media other than my HDD from my Gateway notebook.
Problem is, it is not booting from any operating system either 98 or XP.
The only succfull booting option is dos command prompt.
