thanks for the help with the problem of installing adobe. another question is what to do when the internet stops working. also, says the webpage is too slow.

Not sure why they think that would help. Resetting IE may be drastic at this stage unless you have tried many things first (I think you will loose your Favorites).
You can try cleaning out your browser (History, Cookies, Temp Internet Files, etc) and see if that helps. While there is no harm trying Firefox or others and I prefer Firefox, I do not know that this will solve anything that a good cleaning out would. You can run an internet speed test to see if it is your internet connection that is causing the problem before assuming that your system is to blame.

Finally, if you just got good advice on another post, why are you starting a new one and not continuing the same one????
