My computer is on a home network through a router. the first problem is that, the computer shows a full and perfect connection to the internet but internet isnt working. All the other computers on the network (Another desktop and laptop) work fine. This computer, like the other desktop is hardwired to the connection.
The other problem is that the sound is no longer working on the desktop in question. I suspect something went wrong with the card and it affected the computer's internet too, maybe a surge im not sure.
Any help or leads on how to fix or try to fix this problem will be great. thanks

What does ipconfig show?
What does Device Manager show as far as the audio device? Have you tried reinstalling the sound drivers?

Thanks, I fixed my sound problem through the device manager and re-installing drivers... I thought that I had already re-installed them but i guess not.
However, what do you mean by what does ipconfig show... everyting in it looks normal..
