CPU/Ram: Intel Pentium M/1200MB RA
Model/Manufacturer: Dell Latitude D410
Comment:
Not sure if I have a hardware or software issue, so I will start in the Hardware forum first. Here is my issue:

I currently have a Dell Latitude D410 that is setup with a docking station with a standard keyboard and mouse plugged into the docking station. The notebook has been running fine for the past year; however, recently the mosue and keyboard will intermittently freeze for only a few seconds and then move as they should. This will continue, until the computer is rebooted, which then it will run fine for a couple of days and then go right back to the issue mentioned. THe only hardware change that was made on the device was a RAM upgrade about 3 weeks ago. The computer operated proplerly several days after the upgrade when using the computer in the same manner as before the upgrade. I have checked the Task Manger when the issue occurs; however, I do not see anything out fo the ordinary as far as CPU and RAM usage. Also, the mouse intermittently freezes (for a couple of seconds) even if you use the mouse pad on the notebook, instead of the mouse connected via the docking station.

Could the issue be a video driver?

The first thing i would do is
check the hdd make sure that you are not running out of space.
Also check the virt mem and the registry size.
It is possible that they need to be bumped up a little.
Clean out temp files and cache.
Try running the laptop without the dock station to see if the dock station is bad.
If still bad
run in safemode to see if it still does it.
