I keep getting knocked off the internet - several times day/night....We've got a cable modem - wired router - & wireless access point...our laptops and pcs in the living area are all connected through the wireless network connection. I'll be surfing along and then when I try to open a web page I get "address not found..." I usually go to the wireless connection first and try a "repair"....often when I do this I'll get the following error: Windows could not finish repairing the problem because the following action cannot be completed: Clearing the DNS cache...HOWEVER 90% of the time after doing this I will be able to open a new web page as if there never was a problem. If this method fails I have to go unplug the modem, router and access point to reset and then I am back online after that. My question is - how do I troubleshoot this frustrating problem? How can I determine if it's a problem with the modem, router, access point, or a problem with Mediacom - the service provider? I'm not really a computer geek so please make your answers easy to understand. Thank you in advance.
