intergrate LS-120 into HP6005 SFF

Specs: Windows 7, AMD Phenom IIX2 B55
I have an LS-120 in an external ADS Drive Case. But My HP 6005 SFF. It has a SATA board in it running AMD Phenom Processor. Any Way I want to hook-up my LS-120 using the ADS Drive-case. It has USB 2.0 and PYRO1394 And PYRO1394B connections on back for the cables. The Computer doesn't recognize the drive case. It did when I used an older computer that had XP that ATA/IDE Board in it.
I Know the Computer doesn't have an A-drive in it and there is nothing in the BIOS denoting A: drive in there. How can I make the computer recognize the LS-120.

Check this previous thread on the subject:

I assume in an external case windows would see it as another external drive. You may have to try its various jumper settings:

You say it's not recognizing the drive case. I'm not sure if a USB port will recognize an empty enclosure connected to it (if that's what you're trying). It should however recognize the drive in the case.

Does the hp recognize a regular IDE hard drive in that same case; that is, is the problem with the external case or the LS-120? If it's the case then you need to try another.

What USB version does your HP use--2.0 or 3.0--and which version did the xp machine use? I had a problem with an old flash drive that was recognized on an XP computer but not seen by a windows 7 laptop. I never figured out the reason and ended up buying a newer one that was seen by both. Maybe something like that is the reason for your problem.

If all else fails and you really want to connect an LS-120 I noticed there's there's some external USB LS-120's on ebay.

This case is a legacy Unit. About 10 years old. I bought it when windows 2000 was in full swing. Its has USB 2.0, I hooked it to a XP computer to make sure the case unit does work, and it was. yes cable is good. I have tons of Photos on the LS disks, (30 disk's) and I want to add more to them.
I want to use the LS120 in this HP 6005 SFF office computer with SATA Board. I am now down to space requirements where my computer is.
Then I got a good tip (KISS). Install it in the HP case and Use a Combo PCI Express, IDE Ports W/ PCI-e Controller Card, and use that to interface with the LS120. (Keep it simple stupid).
So I no longer need information input to correct my situation. Thanks all for your help!

You're welcome. Connecting it internally using the motherboard's IDE port or an added controller card were mentioned in the first link in my # 1 above.
