Reply: (edit)do you get the POST screen? if so does it display any error messages? sometimes when you load the pc you are presented with a logo, so you may need to hit TAB when this logo comes up in order to see the POST screen. We need more information before we can help you as the problem could potentially be anywhere. When did this problem start? have made any changes to hardware/software? what are specifications of the system? Motherboard? CPU? RAM? Harddrive? PSU? Graphics card?

Reply: (edit)The initial single beep does not mean that RAM is 'OK'. It means that the motherboard/CPU is probably OK. It does check that there is RAM present, but a full check has not been done yet. I suggest that you disconnect all the drives and pull all cards except the video card (if there is one) and try that. An answer to the above questions would probably help.
