i've been looking into buying a notebook, specifically the sentia at alienware, and i've been unable to find out the mb rating on the intel extreme 2, because i want to be able to play world of warcraft on it, which requires a 32 mb card... does anyone know?

"i've been unable to find out the mb rating on the intel extreme 2"

You can vary the amount of RAM used for the graphics by changing the setting in the BIOS, of course, that steals RAM from the system. If you only have 256MB RAM to begin with, then use 32, 64, or 128MB for graphics, that only leaves the system with 224, 192, or 128MB to run WinXP. In other words, the better the graphics performance, the worse the system performance.

If you want a decent gaming laptop with good graphics, plan on spending over $2300 for the Alienware Area-51m which has the Radeon X800 with 256MB of dedicated graphics RAM.

You should upgrade the system RAM to 512MB regardless of which laptop you get.

1800+ @ 8 x 210MHz
768MB PC3200
Asus A9550 128MB/128-bit

Integrated graphics are poor in comparison , its not just about using up some of the ram, it would be hogging resources all over the place.
For comparison roughly speaking you could expect a 64mb Geforce2mx400 card to achieve twice the score on 3D Mark 2001 than 64mb integrated garphics, even if you added extra 64mb of ram to try to compensate.
Integrated is fine for office and internet/email functions, never much use for modern games
