Comment:

Please can anybody confirm whether the motherboard Intel® Desktop Board DG31PR supports the processor Core2 Duo 1333FSB.

It does not support 1333FSB according to the G31 chipset spec:
http://www.intel.com/cd/products/se...

but it supports 1333FSB according to the Intel® Desktop Board DG31PR spec:
http://www.intel.com/cd/products/se...

I would prefer DG31PR to DQ35MP as is has PS2 connections.

Many thanks

My guess would be the first link is older and the faster FSB wasn't available at that time. Note the excerpt from the chipset link.

"All information provided related to future Intel products and plans is preliminary and subject to change at any time, without notice".

It states in your 2nd link:

"Support for an Intel® Core™2 Duo processor in an LGA775 socket with an 1333, 1066 or 800 MHz system bus"

Personally, if I was gonna get a board for an Intel C2D CPU, I would definitely get one based on an Intel chipset, but I would NOT get a board made by Intel. Are you choosing the G31 because of the integrated graphics?

guys, Thank you for your replies.

Jam, I only need a board which supports 1333FSB Core2 with LAN, sound and Graphics onboard.
Intel boards worked really well for me so far. very smooth.
if this DG31PR supports 1333, then it is what I need really otherwise I need to buy the other model but it does not have PS2.

thank you
