Hi Geeks,

my system runs on Intel D865GBF motherboard, recently i bought a new Seagate SATA 320GB HDD, when i connected the HDD and checked the BIOS the first time, i was able to see the HDD name being displayed in slot 0, but after the OS got booted i was unable to see the disk in the computer management and partion magic, so i restarted the system and rechecked the BIOS, this time the SATA slot 0 was empty, please guide me on this

Mother Board : Intel D865GBF
BIOS Version : 08.00.09

Seagate Barracuda 320GB 7200RPM SATA Internal Hard Drive - Bare

you need to make a raid array floppy disk from the motherboard driver disk.
boot with the raid array floppy disk, the utility will 'set'up the hdd.
if you have no floppy, you'll need an external or install an internal
