Get a new board. That one only officially suports up to 800MHz FSB, but will do 1066MHz FSB via overclocking. You need a board that can do at least 1600MHz FSB & DDR2-800 (or better) to go with it. Look for a board based on the Intel P45 / ICH10 chipset combo.

And which Core 2 Duo do you have? There are at least 2 that run at 3.0GHz.
