The story from the start is this, 3 months ago my computer started making a high pitch noise when idle, during loads it would disapeer. Reading up on this i figured out it must be the power supply, alas i did not take it out and hotwire test it to see if it was just the PSU. Months went and the noise was there sometimes, sometimes it was'nt.
2 weeks ago when shutting down windows my computer abruptly shut down as if a fuse in my apartment went. Although it was localised to the computer only, nothing happend after turning it on after.
Just yesterday i got my new PSU, Be quiet. 650w Dark pro. Everything seemd fine until i got to windows. While loading everything is fine but after a little idle time it shuts down like pulling the psu plug out. Restarted and tried to start it with only a few items connected, alas i cannot figure out of its the motherboard or Gfx card that has the problem.
has anyone encounterd something similar and figured out whats wrong?.
it doesnt matter what i do in software as its done the same thing during changing bios settings, just shuts down randomly.Had 1 long session when i started crysis warhead fast in windows and was able to play over 2 hours. Then i left the comp on extra in idle in windows and it seemd stable again.
I have no clue whatsoever what could cause this. If it stops the only logical thing seems that some circuits needed to go a while with a steady psu.once i get home today i'll be testing it again to see if the problem is still there and figure it out.
Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated.

The PSU get's good reviews & the specs look good.

However, it's a multi +12v rail unit & has modular cabling. You haven't listed anything useful about your system specs but make sure you have the load balanced across the rails & that the cables are securely attached at both ends.

Other than that, check your CPU temp in the BIOS & make sure the CPU heatsink/cooling fan is dust free & working properly.

Watercooling for cpu, northbridge and 8800 gts.My MSI-P5nd2 Motherboard has a extra power supply input for usage when you have dual gfx cards. My system is stable when i just have 1 hdd connected and not the extra MB power supply.
1 rail for motherboard 24 pin connector
1 rail for hdds
1 rail for p8 connector
1 rail for PCIeThe PSU has a power off fan standby thing, smart controlling the fans depending on the heat inside. might be something with that and my fans shutting it off, seems stable with it unhooked at least. (ie no fans connected to the psu)
The psu manual doesnt really explain where to connect the fan connect cable (for controlling fans through a software)
Downloaded everest and put it in, here is the heat and voltage from it
