Installing windows XP

hi, iv tried to do a clean resinstall off the windows disk, and as i boot the machine up it says no bios installed. The machine is running a sata hard drive but wont detect the haard drive. iv tried installing the sata drivers by pressing f6 on startup of the install in windows xp, Its driving me nuts, can somebody help please?

You can use Nlite, and add the operatately, download the drivers from the manufactor that you bought the sata controller from.

If there is no Bios, surely it will never see a hard drive?

If the message is something like "bios not installed" then see this page:

This is not an error message unless you have a bootable drive on the SCSI / RAID controllers

If you are not using a SCSI or RAID drive... this message can be disabled by entering the computer BIOS and disabling the onboard SCSI or RAID

I'm not one of those who think Bill Gates is the devil. I simply suspect that if Microsoft ever met up with the devil, it wouldn't need an interpreter.

the mother board is MSI K8T Neo, and the hard drive is a Maxtor DiamondMax plus 9 160gb. Iv tried loading the drivers at the start up on the windows installation and it loads the drivers but when it eventually get sto the three install options i press enter to install windows and it still comes up with no hard drive detected, please pres F3 to restart the computer. any more help is gladly welcome,
