Installing Windows XP on a wiped co

My computer had linux, so I tried to install Windows XP but it rejected it. then i wiped the hard drive, now it doesn't even have a program to turn off the computer. How can i install windows XP now?

What did you use to wipe the drive? Do you have recovery disks for the computer?

"now it doesn't even have a program to turn off the computer" that is what wipping the drive does, it removes everything, you would need to push the power button to turn it off.

1) when your boot screen appears enter the BIOS setup. 2) then select booting section of it and then disable hard drive as a booting device. 3) select cd or dvd rom as primary booting device 4)put your xp cd in the cd drive then 5) restart your computer. 6) start your installation and format your HDD in proper file system.
this should work as per may knowledge do reply if this works.
