HI i recently bought a A8n-SLI Deluxe motherboard and i wanted to install windows xp on a new 320gb WD SATA II. I got some sort of a driver from WD website for windows xp and tried installing that by pressing F6 before starting the windows installation and it still didnt work after several tries and several drivers i used from their site. I also made a partition of this drive with built in setting with my motherboard and nothing still worked but my motherboard detected the drive. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME INSTALL WINDOWS ON THIS THING I WANT TO STOP USING MY OLD IDE DRIVE THANKS A LOT

hi my geforce 2 have a weird tv it the screen has grey bars going up and down on it. they wont go away on te tv out but there is no problem with my monitor. i upgraded latest driver. anyone have any p

What are you doing using a WD driver for your SATA-RAID controller? You should download and use Abit's NVRaid driver diskette v 1.05 and load both the Storage Controller and RAID Class drivers during the F6 process.

I believe it's an Asus board and not an Abit board.

A brand new SATA HDD should have included the drivers on a floppy disk...just pop in the floppy & press F6 when required

If you don't have the floppy you can get the driver from this link.

No, you have to get the SATA driver from the WDC website, not the ASUS website.

Whoops! I read it as AN8 rather than A8N. Me = idiot.

@ jam: does WDC host downloads for the 3114R controller? Why? I'd feel more comfortable downloading from Asus or even Silicon Image.
