HI i recently bought a A8n-SLI Deluxe motherboard and i wanted to install windows xp on a new 320gb WD SATA II. I got some sort of a driver from WD website for windows xp and tried installing that by pressing F6 before starting the windows installation and it still didnt work after several tries and several drivers i used from their site. I also made a partition of this drive with built in setting with my motherboard and nothing still worked but my motherboard detected the drive. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME INSTALL WINDOWS ON THIS THING I WANT TO STOP USING MY OLD IDE DRIVE THANKS A LOT
hi my geforce 2 have a weird tv it the screen has grey bars going up and down on it. they wont go away on te tv out but there is no problem with my monitor. i upgraded latest driver. anyone have any p

What are you doing using a WD driver for your SATA-RAID controller? You should download and use Abit's NVRaid driver diskette v 1.05 and load both the Storage Controller and RAID Class drivers during the F6 process.
No worries.

I believe it's an Asus board and not an Abit board.
AMD Athlonxp 3200+ OC
Asus A7N8x-deluxe-E
ATI AIW 9600pro
2x WD SATA raptors/raid0
160gb
Corsair XMS3200
16x Lite-on DVD
12x DVD-R
wireless card used as p

A brand new SATA HDD should have included the drivers on a floppy disk...just pop in the floppy & press F6 when required

If you don't have the floppy you can get the driver from this link.

Whoops! I read it as AN8 rather than A8N. Me = idiot.
@ jam: does WDC host downloads for the 3114R controller? Why? I'd feel more comfortable downloading from Asus or even Silicon Image.

Everything solved thanks
