There is usually a graphic on the back of the drive that shows which jumper position you need to make the drive a slave. You may also need to change the jumper on your original drive as some have option of "Master With/Without Slave".

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day.
Teach him to fish and his wife will never forgive you.

if it has jumper diagram dont get caught out by looking at the end of the drive with it upside down. which was is upside down??? well i have had some drives where the diagram needs you to view the end of the drive with the lable downwards towards the floor and not upwards . I reckon that is upside down, but the makers obviously thought different.
Some drives have a CS / cable select position for jumpers. I would say dont use that. Make sure one is Master and one is Slave.
If there is no help on the drive label, type JUmper Position followed by make & model of drive into google.com
