hi...,
i need some help here , to see if what im trying its possible, and please answer if you only have sure, ..i don´t wanna get even more confused,
so, here it goes,i have this old notebook that i wanna install more ram, the computer its compaq presario series 1200 - xl103 , and i have this other "normal"(not notebook) computer , a 486 258 ram, .. but this last one i never use , sio i wanna know if i can get the ram form the 486 and take it to the compaq notebook ...
can i do this?, i saw some tutorials in webpages on how to install ram, but i don´t wanna try till i have sure i can do this..
i can´t remember how much ram i have on compaq cus i have my adapter not working (gonna buy one), ..but trusting some sites that show the same compaq model as mine , its 34 or 64 ram... and i remember reading in a site that the max ram for it was 136 ram ...so can i still do it? ..
thanks..

Just about all RAM that fits notebooks is not the same as that which fits desktops.
Not all RAM used in notebooks is the same, either.
DO you have the user manual?
Have you gone to the Comcrap website (I haven't) to see if you can download the manual?
