Comment: I just got my new Radeon 9600 Pro in the mail and I want to install it. (Right now I've got a crappy GeForce2.) So, before I remove the old one and insert the new one, the manual says I need to get rid of my old graphics drivers. But I don't know which to remove. I go to add/remove programs and find Nvidia Drivers. (I have an nForce motherboard, by the way.) Then it gives me a list, including "Nvidia GART driver," "Nvidia IDE driver," and "nForce PCI System Management driver." Do I want to get rid of one of those? (The others say audio and ethernet.) So which drivers should I remove?! Thanks!

Reply: (edit)...? What is that link for? I am asking which driver I need to REMOVE. I have a disk with the drivers that I am going to install for my Radeon when I put it in. Before I put the Radeon in, I need to know which drivers for my GeForce2 I have to get rid of. I listed the drivers my "add/remove programs" has in the first post -- please tell me which is my graphics driver. Thanks.

Reply: (edit)Instead of going through add/remove programs, could I go into system > device manager > display adapter > unistall driver?

Reply: (edit)The link was for ATi driver cleaner my bad, I actually had your new/old card in reverse. Rather than go through the add/remove programs or device manager and have orphaned Nvidia files all over, I'd recommend you use a utility that will help remove the older (Nvidia) driver completely. http://www.drivercleaner.net/ When Google isn't your best pal
