Solved installing Hard Drive issues?

Specs: Windows 7
got a new Raidmax mid tower and power supply...the power line need to pug in my opitical and hard drive..seems to reach one of them not the other.I am a wrong on this?

You should be able to get a cable extension or a cable 'Y' splitter to turn one power connection into two at any place that has computer supplies.

For example, here's a splitter for SATA drives from Walmart:

That's where you made your mistake. I suggest you buy a decent power supply ASAP. Raidmax cases are OK but their power supplies suck. I'm guessing you bought a case with the power supply mounted at the bottom? Cable length isn't an issue with top mount cases.
