my pc case can takes up four front intake, two exhaut and one side fan. i've got enough fan for them all. but i'm not going to fill up all as it is not the best cooling solution. my question is, how many front, exhaut fan should i put in for best cooling? i don't believe in more is better. i need experts advice.

also, intake and exhaut. which is more effective in system cooling? thanks.

Basically, you need a balanced airflow. Consider the PSU as an exhaust fan, so if you install another exhaust in the rear, you should have 2 intakes in the front.

In the front, out the back. If using top and side, in the side, out the top.

if you are talking about installing a CPU fan, I would get a fan with a heatsink. Heatsinks really help cool down your computer.

My pentium 4 CPU was running at 76 C the other day, before somebody told me to get a heatsink and fan. I followed their advice, and now it runs at 43 C. A proper shop will sell a heatsink with the fan already installed, and will cost about 10 bucks. Make sure you get thermal paste, and put the paste ONLY on the CPU everywhere. Put the headsink and fan inplace. There should be a square slot for a heatsink and put on the 2 metal bits to secure the heatsink.=)

ATI Radeon 9200SE 128 DDR RAM
Western Digital 80GB 7200 RPM
