Hi, i'm doing a favor for a friend, hes got a new CD/RW + DVD/RW combo, and he obviously wants it installed. i take it its just a simple swap over of the already in use drive which is a CDROM, or is there anything else i should be aware of.
Thanks for help
Theres only 10 people that understand binary, those who do and those who don't.

No there is nothing special, it installs just like a CDRom drive. You may have adjust the Master/Slave/Cable Select jumper until both drives are recognized by BIOS. Once that happens just install the burning software that came with the drive.

Install the burner as the 2ndary master. Be sure to check the jumper on the rear of the new drive & change it if necessary. Do NOT use Cable Select & do not attach the burner to the same ribbon cable as the hard drive.
