I gonna assume you mean installing a primary and secondary drive...
If you already have the computer working, and are just installing the 2nd for storage space (or for whatever reason really), physical installation is a breeze...check the jumpers on the back, set it to slave if it'll be the secondary (NON-booting drive) and then mount it with the screws in the case. Attach the IDE cable and power cable (IDE = flat, wide cable power = red, yellow and white cable)
Then, if it needs to be formatted, click Start>Control Panel>Performance and Maintenance>Administrative Tools>Computer Management>Storage>Disk Management
Find the new HDD, if it assigned itself a letter, probably E or F, depending on how many CD Drives you have...right click it and click "Format"
It should be good to go, I've physically installed one, but never formatted one...in theory it should work, but if you're apprehensive, wait for another reply on this thread.
Hope this helps

A new drive will have to be partitioned (with fdisk) and then formatted. The drive will not be recognized by windows (or Dos) until it is partitioned.
Note that if you add a drive larger than 64gb you will need to use the new fdisk.
