You may be able to get them to play nice together. Theoretically you should be able to have 9 displays in Win9000. Try setting the nvidia card to STD. VGA display instead of the nvidia drivers. Then reboot to the BIOS and set the first display to AGP and if you have the option, enable "assign IRQ for VGA". Then install the PCI card. Avoid the top PCI slot as that is frequently shared with AGP. Boot and see if you can configure the ATI. If you dont care to use it as a display maybe you can avoid installing the ATI drivers. You will need to try it and see. Don't install the newest Catalyst drivers in any event. Use the ones recommended for the card at the ATI site. If you get all that working, then try updating the display on the AGP bus to the nvidia driver you used before.

Probably the easiest way to set the AGP card to STD VGA settings is like this. Go to device manager and remove the nvidia card from there and reboot. When Windows tries to reinstall the card hit cancel or escape. The result should be 640 x 480 resolution. Now try to install the ATI card drivers. If this is successful then go to the advanced display properties and change display. You should have the choice to reset it as it was before. If not, then say have disk and then supply the nvidia drivers. Hopefully this will work. When you reboot immediately enter the BIOS and select to boot to AGP first display. I forgot to remind you to use the BIOS option to assign an IRQ for VGA prior to doing any of the rest. Look at the link below before starting. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;238886
