Hey, i have a 266p2 :( and i just bought some ram for it the other day. i made sure this old thing can handle 256 and it can it is its max. so i got two sticks of 128. (i got a packard bell by the way) and i put the 256 in like i have read into the slots. there was a 32mb stick in 1 of the 3 slots i have. so i took the 32 out and put both the 128's in. i started her up and i get some beeps and then the computer justs stops nothing on the screen. anyone got any clues what is wronge? please help thank you

Try reseating the RAM module. If that doesn't work, try booting with one DIMM at a time to see if maybe you have a bad stick of memory.

Did you check that you bought memory which is compatible with the MOBO?

You may have bought SD-RAM PC133 when the PC wants PC-66 for example.
