I just set up a network over a router("Linksys"). Now I want to share the printer so I do not have to buy another. Can someone please explain how to do this?

When the printer is set up on the host machine, make sure you set it up for sharing. If you don't, you can run the add new printer wizard from now until sunday and it won't find it.

I have it set up as being shared, and the other computer cannot detect it. I even ran network setup wizard and set it up that it was connected by a router. Any other clue on what to do.

There is no network in the Network Place. I did the setup wizard and selected that "This computer connects to the Internet through a residential gateway(router?) or through another computer on my network.

Is that the right option for the router? Becasue that is what it look like in the picture description.

if you caonnected to a router, lets say 2 computers to router then router to modem. then setup both computers as connects directly to internet or "network hub" (somethign like that. then try what i said early about network places if that doesnt help. also, go to newtork connectin, properties, internet protocol properties, click advanced button, then go to wins tab and select enable net bios over tcp/ip.

keep me updated. i wanna know if my advice is helpful or not. Peace.
