My Fujitsu laptop C2111 does not come with built-in wireless feature. I would like to insert an antenna into the LCD and also insert a wireless pci card, but I don't know where is the special pci compartment, or how to open up the laptop to get into that compartment.
If you know of any illustration or have done it before, I would be grateful if you could share your experience with me. Thank you.

You can't insert am antenna into the LCD and you don't have to open it up because it doesn't have a pci compartment. What you need is a PCMCIA or CardBus wireless LAN card. There should be a slot on the side for it to fit. I have two older Fujitsu's and the slots are on the left.

Thanks Fred. I am already using a wireless pcmcia card as I type this. However, the card protrusion is cumbersome when moving the lappy around, and risk breaking the card slot. I know there is a version of my particular Fujitsu C2111 model that has wireless built-in.
IBM supplies profusely illustrations and video clips on how to open up their laptops for owners to upgrade the components, but Fujitsu seems to make it a tight secret. Their tech support refused to tell me where the hard drive is hidden. After much exploration, I finally found it. Phew!!!!
That's why I bought three IBM Thinkpads, and I'll never buy another Fujitsu again.
