inkjet or laser printers

well the issue is that i'm not sure which one is good a laser printer that only prints black ( i only use color 2 times a year) or go with inkjet 3-1 printers. also i have heard that inkject cartridges dry up after a well will the laser doesn't. which one would be better to save on the cost of the printing cartridge/? thank you

Laser is much cheper on consumibles per page.

I have a clapped out LaserJet III which I rebuilt and have had the same toner cartridge in the printer for about 5 years! and prints still come out perfect, well text any way, as this old beast wasn't designed for graphics. I am 25 and think I will be an old age pensioner before I use this print cartridge up. It will do about 4000 pages per cartridge so I believe. You'd be lukcy to get a couple of hundred pages from an Inkjet printer.
My advice would be to buy a cheap laser printer, there are many highly recommended ones out aimed at the individual user rather than an office.
