Hi all, I'm getting incorrect (I think) Bios temps for my CPU altho am under the impression these are the most accurate ?! At idle I have 67/68 temp in the Bios for CPU, but with other software readings (Asus Probe & Aida32) it shows 46/47, almost 20c lower.I am inclined to believe the software reports as to touch the CPU heatsink it feels only warm bordering on slightly hot. If it was really 68/68 I would've thought it would feel VERY hot ?! All readings for Mobo are same at 28/30c. I've updated Bios and no change :-(
Any help ?? or should I just stop worrying ?
I have alloy case with decent quality PSU. Also one main intake fan on side of case and 2 rear exhaust fans with generous room to breath.

hello
where the temp probe is its next to the CPU its self your feeling the heat thats been dissipated away from the source.with a fan blowing on it.reboot to bios whats that give for temp? its usually slightly lower because not much is running.

The Bios reads roughly 20c Higher ?! than any other software used to check. At bootup it still reads 67/68C. I have XP2500 OC to 3200, but still shouldn't be getting these kind of figures I'd of thought.

Anything else anyone ??Basically my Bios reading for cpu is 65c+ and other sotware programs inc Asus Probe, aida32, and Motherboard Monitor all show me a figure 20c less of 45/46. mobo temp the same with all @ 28/30.
All figures rise after gaming (obv)
